Crushed Shell for Landscaping

Tough and attractive our crushed shell is sourced from legally consented and renewable dead shell deposits from the seafloor and includes cockle, scallop and whelk shells. Many of the shells retain their natural colours (reds, oranges, mauves) and are stronger and more durable compared to shell sourced from older deposits. This product can be used for pathways and as an ornamental garden surfacing material or mulch. It is also a well suited and popular material for surfacing pétanque courts. The lightly coloured shell contrasts well with darker colours and can be used to brighten or highlight areas, reflecting natural light for impact during the day. |

Used with artificial lighting to great effect at night. The lightly coloured shell is an attractive way to emphasise paths, borders, steps and other garden objects. Under ambient lighting shell can still assist in navigating the garden more safely at night by improving the visibility of objects and hazards. McCallum Bros Ltd produces three grades of shell which are available from our distributors or direct from our Avondale depot. |
