The Balder |
||
In 1991 the pipe laying vessel Balder visited New Zealand to construct the Maui B gas platform and lay pipelines to the existing Maui A station. The barge Pohonui was used to store equipment on in Golden Bay during this project. The tug Wainui towed the barge around the top of the North Island to meet the Balder off the Taranaki coast and then towed it on to Golden Bay where it remained while the work was completed. |
