 EQ3 mix
This mix has now been used on trotting tracks for over three years with great feedback from the industry

Trotting Mix
Our new product (now in use at Alexandra Park) is a coarser material than EQ3 containing crushed shell only.This increases the amount of water able to flow through making it an ideal surface material for tracks over winter.

 

Benefits delivered to track owners include:
  • Particle shape, cleanliness and durability
    Trotting Mix and EQ3 are screened and washed products free of clay and silt particles. They are entirely free of pumice.
  • Particle sizing
    The products have a good mix of particle sizes providing good stability and a consistant firmness across the track.
  • Displacement and movement
    Trotting Mix and EQ3 are not displaced easily by the horse and sulky requiring less maintenance of the track.
  • Excellent drainage
    Water tends to flow well through the material. Owners report less rutting and evolution of water channels through the material.
